The purpose of writing this paper was to be able to deeply explore something of our interest or something we feel part of. That was also my goal with this paper, and I hope I accomplish to inform others on a topic I am an insider and my audience can be either an insider or an outsider. Throughout the process of this paper, I had a lot of fun even though we are currently going through a difficult time. I had fun because I was able to look into something I am part of and something I enjoy being part of, and just talk about it and inform others. In the process of writing this essay, there were three class learning outcomes that helped me with the process.

The first-class learning outcome that I used was to “enhance strategies for reading, drafting, revising, editing, and self assessment”. Before starting to write the paper, I made research, read articles, and made possible drafts in order to find the best topics and information to give my audience, in this case, my audience is my professor Alyssa Yankwitt and my classmates. Another class leaning outcome that was present throughout my process was to “Develop and engage in the collaborative and social aspects of writing processes”. As other papers for the​ class, my classmates and I needed peer review each other’s paper and give each other advice and suggestions to make the paper better. And finally, the las learning outcome I used was “ Strengthen your source use practices (including evaluating, integrating, quoting, paraphrasing, summarizing, synthesizing, analyzing, and citing sources)”. As a class, we were asked to find articles, and use them as a resource, for which we had to practice quoting, paraphrasing, summarizing, and others in order to accomplish the assignment requirements. Overall, I enjoyed doing the paper, besides the fact that I had to do it, I was prompted to do this paper because of my interest in it and my position as an insider.
